Its product range is extensive and spans hazardous and non-hazardous tankers, high performance jetters, combination units and gully emptiers as well as jetvans, trailer jetters, vanpack units, winter maintenance equipment and compact multi-purpose cleaning machines. The company has over thirty years experience designing and building these specialist vehicles to suit all applications and operators' needs and its customers include most municipal authorities, independent waste contractors and water companies in the UK. Whale products are also in service in over 60 countries worldwide.
The factory, in the West Midlands, has been progressively developed and purpose built over the years and is continuously evolving to meet changing market requirements. Advanced facilities include the largest commercial vehicle paintshop using the most advanced spray paint systems in Europe. This year Whale is completing its biggest growth phase yet. Over £1 million has been spent a new factory building, advanced manufacturing machinery and highly sophisticated engineering computer software to increase production capacity by 25% and in the long term to reduce the delivery lead time on new vehicles.
