Power Jet Systems (PJS) design, manufacturer, assemble, test and commission bespoke Water Jet Cutting / Cleaning Systems and ultra high pressure products. Applications include bespoke water jet cutting tables, integrated cutting shuttle stations, robotic cells and remote manipulation, ultra high pressure cleaning & decontamination units in the form of epicyclic rotary head cleaning guns. These products may be fixed to a manipulator for remote access in hazardous environments or in the form of a hand held spray lance where human intervention is possible or deemed more efficient. Systems, UHP products and spares are supported and maintained by the PJS highly experience dedicated maintenance team.
PJS specialise in the design of prototypes & unique equipment to carry out a wide range of processes including cold cutting of explosive devices, de-burring of precision components, size reduction of nuclear contaminated material, decontamination, surface treatment etc. Power Jet has become a major force in the Defence and Nuclear industries, and with specialist companies involved in surface preparation, robot manufacture and CNC Co-ordinate systems.

Ultra high pressure water jet cutting is undertaken through one of two methods. Pure Water Jet cutting utilises pressurises up to 60,000 psi (4000 bar), focused to produce a high energy beam which is used to cut softer materials such as paper, foam, soft rubber and food. Abrasive Water Jet utilises fine abrasive materials drawn into the water stream and focused into a narrow beam (typically 1 mm) ideal for cutting hard materials including mild steel, Titanium, Inconel, Hastalloy, 304 stainless Copper, Brass, Aluminium, brittle materials like glass, ceramic, quartz, stone.
The techniques employed in UHP Water Jet cutting & cleaning have many advantages over conventional and traditional methods. Furthermore, Water Jet cutting and cleaning application provides a solution which previously may have been impossible by other means. Key benefits include:
