The Past...
GOMA has been manufacturing High Pressure, positive displacement, reciprocating Pumps since 1982. Initially the pumps that were manufactured did not have very high discharge pressure along with high discharge flow. But constant R&D efforts by Goma made it possible to manufacture pumps with high pressure ratings.
Within a decade it had a variety of 9 series of pumps each having a specific field of application. These 9 series totally constituted over 100 models to choose from, thereby satisfying the customers’ exact needs. The company has represented India at International Symposium on Water Jet Technology at UK in 1986, at Beijing, China in 1987, at Sendai, Japan in 1988, at Toronto, Canada in 1990. In 1991, Goma developed India’s first High Pressure Homogeniser (import substitute product). Goma’s experience and expertise of High Pressure Pump Technology was extended by incorporating the pump into the Homogeniser.
The Present...
Goma is now involved in giving total solutions in High Pressure technology to its customers. The present Range of Hydroblasters is from 5 H.P. to 300 H.P., Discharge Capacity upto 1000 LPM and Operating Pressure upto 25000 P.S.I (1760kg/cm). Oil handling pumps of range 1m3/hr to 60m3/hr at 150 bar. It supplies portable water jet cleaners for domestic and commercial use. It now manufactures crate cleaning systems and pumps with rotary devices for special applications.
Goma had co-sponsored the 5th Pacific Rim International Water Jet Conference, held at NewDelhi in Feb’98. It was for the first time that this conference was held in India and was represented by foreign delegates.
The Future...
The company is planning to manufacture Pumps of Ultra high Pressure capacities (i.e above 25,000 psi) that can be used for cutting applications in various industries.
Infrastructure at GOMA...
GOMA is head-quartered at Thane, 30 Kms from Mumbai. It has over 3000 sq. feet of administrative office and over 3500 sq. feet of warehousing facilities for spares.
GOMA has manufacturing facilities of over 5 acres at Wada (approx. 40 Kms from Thane). The factory at Wada is equipped with ultra modern manufacturing facilities coupled with a plant layout for maximum efficiency. Facilities for Fabrication, Machining, Assembly, Painting, Testing, Ware housing are available. Goma is capable of undertaking any expansion plans in the near future, as the infrastructure facilities of power, land, water is readily available at Wada.
The flexibility in production techniques assures that our customers receive products on time, every time. The after sales service backed by well-trained engineers is one of the best in the industry having quick response time, thereby, reducing downtime to minimal at the customers end. GOMA has a lean organisation structure, thereby leaving no room for bureaucracy, with equal opportunities given to every one.
