CONJET - HYDRODEMOLITION USING A HIGH PRESSURE WATER JET TO REMOVE CONCRETE

HYDRODEMOLITION ENABLES SUPERIOR BOND BETWEEN NEW AND OLD CONCRETE
The key benefit of using hydrodemolition for removing concrete is that the technique does not damage the remaining structure. Providing that all the damaged concrete is removed, the surface of the remaining sound concrete will be free of micro cracks and be rough and uneven to present a strong bond with the new concrete overlay. Concrete can be removed from below the reinforcement bars that remain intact and will also be cleaned of rust and debris by the water jet. Additionally, Hydrodemolition is significantly faster compared to jackhammers.
HEALTH AND SAFETY – NO EXPOSURE TO VIBRATION OR REACTION FORCES
Traditional demolition tools such as jackhammers expose workers to vibrations that is becoming a serious concern in more and more countries. The same applies for the reaction forces that operators have to hold when removing concrete with hand lances. Using a Conjet Robot or Jetframe does not expose the operator to any vibrations or reaction forces from the water jet.
